Adorable baby girl with the most mesmerizing blue eyes. And what better way to show off those baby blues but to surround her with color. She was just getting over an ear infection so we had to pull out ALL the stops-including having dad turn her upside down. She LOVED it!
Totally stole the title straight from Mom's mouth. Showed her the pic of baby and daddy and she was inspired. :) This baby girl was smiles from start to finish. She got a little squirmy halfway through only because she needed a snack but after her belly was full, she was ready for round 2. Beautiful family! Referred by that super nice, super smiley newborn client (you know who you are).
Loved this sweet little girl (reminds me of the Gerber baby!) Definitely a girly girl-sporting the tutu perfectly (but can't step on the yucky dirt lest her pretty feet get dirty), and knowing just how to work those sunglasses. Thanks for allowing me to document your baby girl-growing up so, so fast.
A pile of fun! You would think a 3 year old rambunctious little boy and a 1 year old girl, just getting over a cold (or was she starting a new one?) would make for an umm...interesting photo session. But not so here. He was just a ball of energy and that's what I love--I love capturing kids in their element, being themselves, not fakey fakey smiles. And little sister must be used to it because she found him extremely entertaining.
Sorry for falling SO behind (I know, it's not the first time you've heard my whining)-but please bear with me...I'm getting there.
This 9 month old lasted through 5 outfit changes, individual portraits, family portraits, and a snack break. That doesn't count the 30 minute commute to meet me in my hometown. She even managed to flash me some winning smiles. Here's a sneak peek:
Yes, I am feeling kinda special as Mom AND Dad both took a day off work to have their baby girl's photos taken by me. Hmm...actually, I think that special feeling belongs to baby--and she certainly was a treat to photograph! Those eyes are FOR REAL and the tippy toes--that's how she stands. I expect her to be a famous dancer one day and I can say that I did her first, and second photo shoots! Lucky me!
I should probably also warn my clients that I am a mom of three and tend to let a lot of things go (including into baby's mouth). And catching them in the act kind of makes me giggle.
6 months old is prime teething age and many of the babies at this age want to put things in their mouths. I am like a 3 ring circus trying to distract them from doing so, but sometimes it's just too cute and I have to let it go. Plus, look at the beautiful smile (with teeth) that I am later rewarded with.
This pretty little baby came all the way from Australia...not just for me, but I'm easily flattered. :) Mom's sister is a client and gifted this session to their family. Baby must be good at traveling because she was the perfect model-smiley, then sleepy, then smiley.
Her little smile is just the cutest thing ever! Mom is a good friend and is always an encouragement to me. It's fitting that her daughter's smile just makes me grin from ear to ear. And don't be fooled by the fairy princess get-up, she's more the "silly monkey" type.
My very bestest childhood friend came to visit with her baby and we spent some time at the lake. She's actually one of my photography resources cuz this girl knows what she's doing. Check out what her little point and shoot caught me doing. I work hard, huh?
To future clients--don't worry--I'll leave the kid and the duck at home for your session.
You can't tell from from these pics but poor little girl was getting over a cold on the day of the session. She did manage to flash some smiles at me and who can resist her baby blues? We did pull out all the stops--including the pink and purple singing purse. I'll be Daddy is the first to see these--he's as excited about his baby girl's photos as any proud mama. :)
The oldest really was so mature and I bet she teaches her younger sister a lot--and then some. I love baby sister's fountain hair--you can only wear your hair for so long and she pulled it off well!
So friendly and the middle girl is still the perfect model! I photographed this family when baby was just a floppy 2 month old. Now she's sitting up and smiling like her big brother and big sister. Thanks for inviting me to capture your kids at this fun stage!
Not her, me. Just wanted to share some favorites before I turn in. Showed these to my friend and she wants to take this adorable baby home, but I told her the parents are quite attached to her. :)
