MATERNITY and NEWBORN: Baby Boy and his Polka Dot Blankie

Our very dear friends welcomed a new addition in January and I got to be the lucky photographer to document their journey. This easygoing couple will certainly give their new baby a wonderful home. We also sadly bid farewell to their beloved dog, Kody. Thankfully, Kody was able to meet the baby although I did not make it in time to capture it. Baby is one month old in these pictures and slept peacefully for his first photo shoot.

This is my cousin's one month old baby. Love her chubby cheeks!

The newer the better!

I think I will always love photographing newborns. You just can't take a bad picture of them and they don't care if they have a double chin or chubby cheeks. For the long Memorial Day weekend, we drove down to Southern California to visit my sister's new baby (my very own niece!) and I had the pleasure (really, the honor) of shooting with the talented Carol Rice of Inkybee Photography. "Super fun" is an understatement but lately my vocabulary is very limited.

One month new

Only one month old and already she doesn't want to miss a thing. This was one of my favorite sessions-not only because it was for a dear, dear friend, but because Baby C just gave me such wonderful eye contact.
