I remember shooting this little gal's when she was a newborn and she was super alert. Well, things haven't changed. She's just alert AND curious AND walking. We were hoping to get pics of her IN the wagon but curious girls don't just ride--they gotta explore!
And what's this? I bet my kids don't even know what payphones are...
Ok-so big sis is no longer a baby but she's just a few months younger than my baby (who is also no longer a baby, which makes me so sad--but that's for another day)...AND I've been photographing big sis since she was 4 months old so I still fondly remember her as a baby. But now there's a new kid in town and who can resist a sleepy smile? I love, love this family! They travel SUPER far to come see me multiple times a year (SUPER = > 50 miles) And they bring me and my family SPRINKLES cupcakes. What is there not to love?

Usually toddlers love my same ol' same ol' tricks (bubbles, peek a boo, crazy animal noises), but this little gal knew better. She wanted original thought and new adventures-especially anything involving water. Thank goodness it was a HOT day cuz we played and played with water. Here are some of my favorites:
Her little smile is just the cutest thing ever! Mom is a good friend and is always an encouragement to me. It's fitting that her daughter's smile just makes me grin from ear to ear. And don't be fooled by the fairy princess get-up, she's more the "silly monkey" type.
I love it when the kids are playful--it allows me to capture them in their natural element and meeting this pair at the park was perfect! I've got lots of catching up to do so here are just two to whet your eyes.
My very bestest childhood friend came to visit with her baby and we spent some time at the lake. She's actually one of my photography resources cuz this girl knows what she's doing. Check out what her little point and shoot caught me doing. I work hard, huh?
To future clients--don't worry--I'll leave the kid and the duck at home for your session.
The oldest really was so mature and I bet she teaches her younger sister a lot--and then some. I love baby sister's fountain hair--you can only wear your hair for so long and she pulled it off well!
I love all my clients, but I have to give this family a special heart for providing my business a steady flow of shoots through gift certificates, extended family shoots, and referrals. Plus, the kids are adorable! Just so easy to please. And I had to show Big Sister breaking out the chicken dance. Every time I see this photo, the tune gets stuck in my head.
These twin girls had lots of "firsts" on their first photo shoot (with me). I believe this was their first experience with bubbles, their first trip to the park, and quite possibly their first time eating stuff from the grass. :)

I've been photographing this family since May, 2008 and it's a joy watching them grow (the kids AND the family). Youngest is 4 months old and doing what 4 months old do (smile and smile). The next youngest is just a charming, playful little girl and seems to enjoy the photo sessions as much as I do.
Mommy's girls too-but I especially love how Daddy could bring out the most genuine smiles from his princesses.

Just before they can walk, but right after they can crawl-there's this great stage where all babies want to do is sit and smile. I love photographing babies and toddlers because there are no canned smiles-you get the real thing--like this little girl:

This little girl just had the most calm and laid back demeanor. She was a breeze to photograph and I bet parents are thankful that she's so calm and serene-so ladylike.
These two sisters just wanted to play. I loved how mom got into our photo playdate-it seems this family is all about FUN. Big sis just needed to show me her toys and she was all smiles. Baby pretty much smiled at everything!
