I photographed this little one before she could sit up and now she's walking! She's walking SO well that she wanted to walk the dog but doggie was a little bit afraid. We finally were able to get the two darlings to sit by bribing them with snacks. I think either of them would have taken whatever snack was offered, whether it was a puppy treat or Cheerios.

This little guy just wanted to go somewhere, and get there faast! He kept me on my toes as I tried to stay one step ahead of him but we sure did have fun. Mom and dad are going to have to put him into sports because he is a ball of energy. :)
Her little smile is just the cutest thing ever! Mom is a good friend and is always an encouragement to me. It's fitting that her daughter's smile just makes me grin from ear to ear. And don't be fooled by the fairy princess get-up, she's more the "silly monkey" type.
When mom booked this session with me, we were trying to decide whether to meet at a park or at her home. We finally decided to have the shoot at her home because she was afraid that this little one year old would be shy. But look what we got instead--a happy, smiley baby all the way through. The first image was pretty much the first image out of my camera. I must have a pleasant demeanor--or there was food in my teeth. Whatever works. :)
Not her, me. Just wanted to share some favorites before I turn in. Showed these to my friend and she wants to take this adorable baby home, but I told her the parents are quite attached to her. :)
It's a good thing that I don't make a living out of writing because I am running low on creative titles.
Funny story about this shoot--or rather, prior to the shoot. I went to the wrong house, and the guy who answered the door actually let me in. I stayed for about 5 minutes, chit chatting with the guy when his mom finally showed up and set us all straight. I don't know how I could mistake a high school BOY for a dad. Do I have no concept of age??
Thank goodness it was the wrong house because my client's home was VERY well lit and how COOL is the calendar marking their son's birthday??

Mommy's girls too-but I especially love how Daddy could bring out the most genuine smiles from his princesses.

Just before they can walk, but right after they can crawl-there's this great stage where all babies want to do is sit and smile. I love photographing babies and toddlers because there are no canned smiles-you get the real thing--like this little girl:

I've been photographing this little princess since she was 6 months old and she's still as sweet as ever. We're like old friends now and I'm so excited that I've been able to watch her grow from a baby in a basket to a fun-loving toddler.

I love it when mom says: "Just take pictures of anything-even if they're crying." Talk about giving me creative freedom. :)
