Siblings: The non-Chandler smile

Mom warned me that her son often flashes the "Chandler" smile (from the "Friends" episode when Monica and Chandler have their engagement photos taken), so I was thrilled to capture a handsome, non-Chandler grin from this guy. And his sister was just one of the easiest girls to photograph! :)

I love it when mom says: "Just take pictures of anything-even if they're crying." Talk about giving me creative freedom. :)

So well behaved

I guess when you have three kids, you really have to train the older ones to be self sufficient. I came to photograph this family of five, with a focus on the littlest one. Baby was an angel and I was impressed by how well the older two entertained themselves while mom, dad and I entertained baby. Big brother and sister were practically on-call models as they did come in for a couple of shots while baby was being changed.

Cooperative boys?

Is there such a thing? Apparently, they exist at this household because these two boys were a dream to photograph! We went to the backyard, then the front yard, then the porch, and not a single complaint. Mom has raised them well and they are handsome as can be! It must be in the genes because their sisters are equally as beautiful.

Little Miss Personality and Mr Nice

I love when my sessions feel like playdates! These two were full of fun ideas (we pretended to make lemonade and fought off bad guys.) Sister was FULL of personality--I got all kinds of great expressions from her--I see a future in drama. And brother was just the kindest, most gentle boy, with the dreamy eyelashes to go along with it.

It's all fun and games...

...until someone gets wet.

This shoot was for one of my dear friends, and thank goodness mom is easygoing and the kids are resilient. Everything was going fine-kids were smiling,
































(sometimes they weren't),































mom's looking beautiful, and then...*splash*--yup, little girl fell in the water.

But they were truly photo troopers--daughter changed into a new dress and we kept on going.
































Thank you for a memorable photo session--one that I will tell the grandkids. Mom even joked with me about capturing the splash on camera, but as much as I love photography, I'm still a mom at heart.

Blues all around!

I had the pleasure of photographing these siblings with the most beautiful blue eyes. The girls are twins and their brother is just 2 years older. Mom has done a wonderful job raising such well-behaved children. We all had lots of fun running around and looking for trees to climb.

M Family of Five

What do you get when you have one boy and then two more? I'll let your imagination run wild-it's probably pretty close to the real thing. These guys were a bundle of energy. In fact, the best shots came from letting the boys run loose and capturing their natural smiles. Here's a favorite.
