It's been so long since I've been around that I'm feeling rusty on how to post to my blog. I've got lots to share but want to get my clients' galleries up so they can order for the holidays and I've got a two year old trying to "help" me at the computer while playing beauty salon with my hair. :)
Here's a session to share: a preppy young man who's all ready for the cold weather!
I photographed this young man awhile ago (yes, consistent with the theme of my blog-"behind") and wanted to share these BIG smiles with y'all. Lest you think I'm funny (which I can be sometimes), he was thoroughly amused by the basketball game happening behind me. :)
This little guy just wanted to go somewhere, and get there faast! He kept me on my toes as I tried to stay one step ahead of him but we sure did have fun. Mom and dad are going to have to put him into sports because he is a ball of energy. :)
When mom booked this session with me, we were trying to decide whether to meet at a park or at her home. We finally decided to have the shoot at her home because she was afraid that this little one year old would be shy. But look what we got instead--a happy, smiley baby all the way through. The first image was pretty much the first image out of my camera. I must have a pleasant demeanor--or there was food in my teeth. Whatever works. :)
These boys were hilarious! Most of the best pics are actually "outtakes" from our time together-or rather unposed, unscripted. Thanks to Tami Chao for referring this client. This handsome young man is gonna be a heartbreaker! Mom and son met me at a local park and she left me with him for a few minutes while she ran to get his jacket. That's when the fun began--he LOVED the park and wasn't afraid to show it.
It's a good thing that I don't make a living out of writing because I am running low on creative titles.
Funny story about this shoot--or rather, prior to the shoot. I went to the wrong house, and the guy who answered the door actually let me in. I stayed for about 5 minutes, chit chatting with the guy when his mom finally showed up and set us all straight. I don't know how I could mistake a high school BOY for a dad. Do I have no concept of age??
Thank goodness it was the wrong house because my client's home was VERY well lit and how COOL is the calendar marking their son's birthday??

This little boy is just about the same age as my littlest one so we spoke the same language (a mix of baby talk and English). We started off playing catch, then with rocks and ended up playing with his favorite thing--W A T E R! And since I wouldn't be the one cleaning him up after all the water, I thought I'd add to his fun and splash him a little myself. :) Thanks for the playdate!
One of my all time favorite models. He smiles, he sits, he performs! (He's also my adorable nephew, so I'm hugely biased).
